Legacy Giving
Consider a planned gift or bequest in your will which can provide a lasting legacy. Your gift will ensure that animals are given a second chance and make a lasting difference in this world. With your help, Bandaged Paws can continue to lead the way in providing thousands of homeless animal a safe haven and all the love and care they need and deserve while working towards the root cause of animal homelessness.
A will is the easiest and most effective way to ensure that your assets are distributed according to your wishes. However, through smart planning, you can make your assets do more for you, your loved ones and for causes you care about through cost-effective planning. A Will allows you to provide for your family and to leave a legacy, also known as a bequest.
Ways to Provide a Bequest: 1) In your will, you can leave a specific dollar amount, percentage or a specific asset. Types of bequests can include cash, real estate, artwork, stocks, bonds, etc. 2) Name Bandaged Paws Animal Rescue Association as the beneficiary of a life insurance policy, bank account, RRSP account or stock account.
It is always recommended that you work with your financial advisor and lawyer to help you plan a bequest that works best for you. By helping animals through estate-giving you could minimize your income tax, capital gains or estate tax.
